Do dispensaries take debit cards?
Yes. STASH accepts debit card transactions through our cashless ATM’s located at checkout. We also offer direct bank transfer so you can order and pay online.
Can tourists buy cannabis in Maryland?
Yes. Adults 21 and older with a valid government-issued photo ID may legally purchase cannabis from licensed Maryland dispensaries, including out-of-state visitors.
What should I bring?
To purchase cannabis in Maryland, you’ll need a valid government-issued photo ID showing you are at least 21 years old.
Accepted forms of identification may include:
- Driver’s license
- State-issued ID
- Passport
- Military ID
Medical cannabis patients should also bring their valid Maryland medical cannabis certification if applicable.
Can I smoke in public?
No. Public cannabis consumption remains illegal in Maryland.
Cannabis should only be consumed on private property where permitted by the property owner.
How long do edibles take to “kick in”?
Edibles may take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to fully take effect depending on dosage, metabolism, and other factors.
Because effects can take longer to appear compared to inhaled cannabis products, we recommend starting with a low dose and waiting before consuming additional servings.
What’s the difference between indica and sativa?
Indica, sativa, and hybrid are commonly used categories that describe different cannabis varieties and their general effects.
Many consumers associate:
- Indica products with more relaxing effects
- Sativa products with more uplifting or energetic effects
- Hybrid products as a balance of both
However, cannabis experiences can vary significantly from person to person depending on cannabinoids, terpenes, dosage, and individual tolerance.
How much cannabis can I legally buy in Maryland?
Adult use customers are permitted to purchase up to 2 ounces of cannabis flower or an equivalent amount of concentrate and infused concentrates, vape cartridges, and oil per month.

Can I drive after using cannabis?
No. Driving under the influence of cannabis is illegal in Maryland.
If you plan to consume cannabis, we recommend waiting until effects have fully worn off before driving or operating machinery.
Is there tax on cannabis in Maryland?
Adult-use cannabis purchases in Maryland are subject to a 9% state sales tax.
Registered medical cannabis patients are generally exempt from this tax under Maryland law.
